Music Festivals in India have come to a stage that it has become a must in lifetime for every youth.The varied shades found in a music festival of India along with the food, art, adventure and dance accompanied with it magnetizes a huge crowd for a span of few days providing one of the best experiences.

Sunburn Music Festival

About: Asia’s largest music festival, Sunburn is a commercial EDM (electronic dance music) Festival. It was initially held in Vagator, Goa but in the recent times it has shifted to Pune, Maharashtra. In 2009, CNN ranked it as one of the Top Festivals in the World. This music festival is the brainchild of Serial Entrepreneur Shailendra Singh. It ranks at 3rd for beingt he largest dance festival after Tomorrowland and Ultra. IT is spreadover a period of 4 days and witnesses some of the artists on its stage. Several of the IITs, NITs, IIMs have got Sunburn to their campus which has popularized Electronic Dance Music to a different level.


Ragasthan Music Festival

About: The founder of this festival, Keith Menon was the first to propose the idea of a desert music festival in 2008. Intense planning resulted in hosting the first Ragasthan Festival in 2012, November. It was organized at the Kanoi Dunes enar the outskirts of the city of Jaisalmer. Since then, Ragasthan has never failed to provide a lifetime experience of camping in deserts accompanied by music, outdoor activites like sand-surfing, zorbing etc. Patrons stay at the venue in Swiss tents or tents brought by them. The first Ragasthan itself attracted about 6000 fans over the three day period.


Mahindra Blues Music Festival

About: It is known as Asia’s largest and finest Blues phenomenon since its inception in 2011. Mahindra Blues Festival (MBF) has provided a great platform for Indian Blues music bands throughout the country. Another addition to their fame was when The Blues Foundation of America awarded them the ‘Keeping the Blues Alive’ award in 2014. This festival brings together the best Blues musicians of the world for 2 days of guitar-rippin’ and soul trippin’ at the famous Mehboob Studio of Mumbai.


NH7 Weekender

About: It was in 2009, when British music executive Stephen Budd came to Mumbai for an award event and met Viay Nair, the CEO of Only Much Louder (OML) Entertainment. Nair then visited to UK and was introduced to Martin Elbourne through Budd. Consequently, the three managed tofund and create the first NH7 Weekeneder in Pune, India. NH& Weekender is an annual, multi-city festival organized by OML Entertainment. Considered as one of the largest music festivals in India, NH7 has an annual attendance of over 100,000. It is usually held between October and December travelling to multiple cities and with a flagship event in Pune. This festival is unique because of its divergent artistic lineup hosting notable and well established artists.


Storm Music Festival

About: This music festival having its venue in the outskirts of Bangalore celebrates music genres like folk, indie and non-mainstream to electronic dance. It is organized for three days in January. It also provides a comfortable and open experience for campers and travellers which is accompanied with adventure sports and live music.


Magnetic Fields

About: Standing true to its name, Magnetic Fields has the capacity to attract a good crowd which takes the people to the exotic paradise of Rajasthan. Its location at Alsisar Mahal adds on to the festival’s magnificence. This festival is held every year in December. Magnetic Fields is truly meant for visual treat along with good food, music, art etc.
